We are pleased to announce our newest team member, Brent Lewis!
Brent grew up in the Cedar City area. He graduated from Cedar High School and Southern Utah University (then Southern Utah State College). While in college, he participated on the track team as a high jumper and long jumper.
After college, Brent started work as a Juvenile Justice Services (JJS) counselor in the Third District Detention/Long-Term Facility located in Cedar City. During this time, he primarily worked with incarcerated youth. After leaving that role, Brent worked with the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah as a substance abuse counselor, before finding the role he would spend a career in and retire from as a Juvenile Court Probation officer for the State of Utah's Fifth District Juvenile Court. Brent retired from this position in 2019. We are glad he has come out of retirement to join our team!
When Brent is not working, he enjoys listening to rock music and reading. He also enjoys playing basketball, which is an activity he has taken part in for years. One of his greatest joys is spending time with his wife, Barbara (Roe) Lewis, as well as their son, Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Kiana.
Brent has joined our case management team and will primarily be working with the New Choices Waiver program in Iron and Kane Counties. He says he is happy to be working in Aging Services and very impressed with how nice and helpful everyone is in relation to the needs of older adults. We are very impressed with Brent and happy to have him as part of our team!
