Well-being is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst to help older adults in our community reach their goals and fulfill their potential. We have an experienced staff with extensive skills and knowledge of community resources who can access services to meet the needs of the aging population across five counties - Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Washington - in Southern Utah.
What We Do
Tell Your Caregiver Story
November is National Caregiver Month. In preparation for our events this year, we are asking caregivers to tell us their stories. Whether you are a full-time family caregiver, part time family caregiver or a caregiver working with a company or facility, we want to hear your stories! Stories will be used throughout the month of November on our Caregiver Facebook group, displayed in the Area Agency on Aging office and could be used on the radio or at the Creative Age Conference. Deadline for submission is October 31st.
As you tell your story, here are some questions to help you.
Why do you care give?
What are the blessings that come from your caregiver journey?
What challenges have you faced as a caregiver and how have you overcome them?
What resources have you utilized along the way?
How has caregiving strengthened you as a person and/or strengthened your relationship with the person you care for?
