As we leave behind this unprecedented year, and embark on the uncertainty of a new year, we would like to move forward on a positive note. Although this past year has not been without it's challenges, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to grow our virtual connection with you. We hope that you have enjoyed our virtual connection, and if nothing else, it has been a bright spot in your year. We look forward to continuing our virtual connection through a variety of online classes and events throughout 2021.
First, our Caregiver Education Series will be completely available online! For the first time, we will be able to offer each of our Caregiver Classes through ZOOM. We've already set the schedule and we are excited to offer a different class each month! Of course, our weekly Tea Time with Sheri meeting for caregivers will continue to be held every Thursday at 1PM via ZOOM. Be sure to check back regularly for updates and be the first to register for upcoming classes.
We have also been working to train our leaders on virtual platforms, so that we can offer more Living Well and Preventative Health classes. Over the course of this new year, we would like you to join us as we embrace and strengthen our health through these evidence based programs. A new year is a great time to recommit to your health goals and we hope our classes will be a helpful part of your health journey over the coming year.
Finally, in addition to online classes and events, we plan to expand our volunteer roles in the new year. AmeriCorps Seniors studies show that volunteers are healthier, less depressed, and more connected compared with those who do not volunteer regularly. Our AmeriCorps programs are eager to bring on new volunteers to help our community in a variety of ways. To learn more about getting involved, click here.
